EVO Visian ICL Intra-Ocular Lenses

WHAT ARE EVO VISIAN ICL INTRA-OCULAR LENSES?

EVO Visian ICL Intra-Ocular Lenses

The EVO Visian ICL, manufactured by Staar Surgical, is a thin, clear lens implanted inside the eye to correct short-sightedness (myopia), long-sightedness (hyperopia), and astigmatism.

Unlike laser vision correction, your natural lens is not removed. Instead, the EVO ICL works much like a permanent contact lens, providing clear, predictable vision correction without daily maintenance. Because the lens sits inside the eye, you cannot feel it, and it is made from a biocompatible material designed to remain safely in place for life.

Who is the EVO Visian ICL for?

This treatment is most suitable for patients aged 21 to 45 who:

  • Have high prescriptions outside the range for LASIK or PRK
  • Have thin or irregular corneas that make laser procedures less suitable
  • Want a reversible solution for vision correction
  • Prefer to avoid reading glasses later in life (other multifocal lens options may also be considered)

The lens is custom-made for your prescription following a thorough eye assessment. Measurements such as anterior chamber depth are carefully taken to ensure suitability.

Benefits of EVO Visian ICL

01

Enjoy sharp, clear vision at all distances, with enhanced night vision and reduced glare for easier driving and daily activities, all while reducing your reliance on glasses or contacts.

02

The procedure is a quick, minimally invasive outpatient surgery that can be done awake or under general anaesthetic, with most patients noticing improved vision within 24 hours.

03

The lenses block harmful UV rays, helping to protect your long-term eye health. The lens design improves contrast sensitivity, enhancing visual comfort in various lighting conditions.

04

The EVO ICL lens suits patients with high refractive errors or those unsuitable for laser surgery, and is reversible if needed.

05

You can experience improved contrast and colour perception, enhancing your overall visual quality.

The EVO Visian ICL Procedure

The procedure is quick, precise, and performed as an outpatient treatment. Implanting the lens usually takes less than 30 minutes and can be done under local anaesthetic (while you’re awake) or general anaesthetic if you prefer. Recovery is generally fast, and most patients notice an immediate improvement in their vision. Unlike laser procedures, the EVO Visian ICL is removable and replaceable, giving you flexibility if your prescription changes in the future.
